In the 90‘s Detroit, Michigan, the motor-city was still a thriving industrial town where everything revolved around cars and trucks. A place not particularly exciting for young people. But exactly those turned Detroit into a pilgrimage site of techno.
If someone wonders who started it, immediately the name Richie Hawtin comes up.
He is an artist, inventor, mastermind and has always been the most creative entrepreneur of electronic music. It all began in the clubs of Detroit. That‘s where he heard the straight bass drum for the first time and he danced with his friends, all known today as the Minus-label-posse, and there he met John Acquaviva, who later became his “Plus8“-partner. The rest is history.
We are extremely pleased and feel honoured, that after years of abstinence, he will perform his legendary Plastikman live show for the first time in Berlin and exclusively at FLY BerMuDa!
